My art practice is concerned with
ideas of identity, embodiment, experience and understanding, and
how these are constructed and affected under different modes of
representation, manipulation and scrutiny. The work often proposes
simultaneous possibilities, attempting to engender fluctuations
in our perceptions of, and projections onto the world. It seeks
to question the human implications of different systems, environments
and scenarios, and to explore their ambiguities.
I am very much interested in how we mediate our relationships
with one another and the world, through environments, objects
and artefacts, as well as in how we are depicted and perceived
in the various forms of representation; in still and moving images
throughout visual culture.
